Providers shipping a client for a platform, one page per platform. This is the most commercial of the eight taxonomies and the least interesting to the security model: it says what you can install, not what the operator keeps.

A browser extension is not a system client and is counted separately — the difference decides whether traffic outside the browser is covered at all.

Android is worth 3 of the 20 platform points in the usability score (usability.curves.platforms): Android, iOS, macOS and Windows 3 each; Linux and Routers 2 each; Android TV, Apple TV, Browser extension and Fire TV 1 each.

All 67 platform lists here were read off a published page (U01_platforms, origin document). Nothing was run on the platform: the list says what ships, not how it behaved. 25 of the 67 also document router support, which is how a household covers the devices that will never run a client.

What that buys a reader is a word that means the same thing on every record — the platform a record names is one of these, spelled this way, or it is not there.

What the 67 records say: kill switch, split tunnelling, devices, protocols

Each answer is the record’s own and has no platform axis beyond “desktop only” (U08_kill_switch, U09_split_tunneling, U10_simultaneous_devices); the protocol list is the provider’s whole list, not what ships here (U07_protocols). The last column says where the platform list itself came from and the day it was read.

42 of the 67 apps carry a third-party SDK on record (C07a_app_sdk): advertising in seventeen, analytics in eleven, install attribution in nine, crash reporting in five. 23 of the 67 declare to the store something their published policy does not say (X12_store_data_declaration). A record with no reading on a field is counted as not reporting, which is what it did.
